I've lifted this from an old British Go Journal. It is a lot easier than January's problem, but there are still opportunities to go wrong.
The forst thing to do is to identify the problem - in this case it is fairly obvious. Namely to rescue the 3 black stone in the middle, hopefully cutting White into two groups.
This can either be done by capturing the four white stones to the right or by linking out to the black stones on the left. There is insufficient space to live separately.
Dia 2, trying to link up is not the way to do it.
The answer is the descent of 1 here. It threatens to capture white with the sequence of Dia 3 which would be a failure for White.
Thus the right move for White 2 is as Dia 4 which then lets Black do a backwards monkey jump to safety.
Note that Dia 3 would not work if Black had one fewer liberties.
