Dia 1 - Which moves are bad?

This is lifted from an old British Go Journal. I found it sufficiently interesting to convert the article into this month's problem.

As the title says, "Which moves are bad?". More than one move for each player is deemed wrong, both are 1 dan amateurs.

Summary

I summarise here the good and bad moves. For fuller details see the EBGJ archives, Issue 18 page 4.

• White 4 is bad.
• Black 7 is bad - it should be a pincer.
• White 8 is poor - it should prevent the pincer.
• White 10 is too heavy - it should be at 12.
• Black 11 would be better as a pincer.
• Black 13 is bad.
